OUR STORY
From a Passion Project to a Digital Marketing Agency
Authention began with a simple conversation between family members and a shared passion for building communities online.
Before Authention existed, Matthew had experience growing successful online communities through his own meme-based theme page. Understanding the power of digital platforms, content, and audience growth, Matthew asked his uncle Brad if he had ever considered creating an Instagram page around one of his own passions.
When Matthew asked Brad what he was most passionate about, the answer was 90s basketball.
That conversation led to the creation of The90sNBA, a page dedicated to celebrating the players, stories, and moments that defined an unforgettable era of basketball. Through consistent content, community engagement, and authentic storytelling, The90sNBA grew to over 100,000 followers and attracted attention from former NBA players, coaches, celebrities, and basketball personalities.
As relationships developed through the page, Brad began creating more content, building connections, and helping others strengthen their online presence. Seeing the impact that authentic storytelling and strategic digital marketing could have, Matthew and Brad recognized an opportunity to bring that experience to businesses, athletes, and creators.
In 2022, Authention Marketing was created with the mission of helping others build meaningful connections with their audiences through creative content, thoughtful strategy, and authentic digital experiences.
